Is Blowfish the ultimate hangover remedy?

Latest miracle cure Blowfish
So the latest over the counter miracle cure called ‘Blowfish’ has been on the market in the
US since last year and is due to hit Europe in the next few months. It claims to get rid of a hangover in an amazing 15 minutes! That’s just mental.

It contains an antacid to settle the stomach as well as 60 mg of caffeine and 1000 mg of aspirin combination for your head, the maximum approved amount in one dose! It may sound very similar to Alka Seltzer XS but it claims it’s effects are more potent due to the higher dosage of aspirin.

To top it all off it wasn’t even created by a scientist! It was created by Brenna Haysom, a former fanancier and Harvard graduate. She came across the formula by trying out 100s of different ways to get rid of her hangovers. Once she found the combination that worked her friends couldn’t get enough so Miss Haysom took it to the New York-based manufacturers Rally Labs LLC who tested it and agreed to collaborate with her.

It all just sounded a bit too good to be true so the Get Rid Of A Hangover HQ ordered some from Amazon to give it a test run.

The conclusion

After skulling the reasonable amount of 5 pints of strong lager the night before I woke up with a fuzzy head and a bad gut. I’d say I had a moderate hangover. This was definitely a good opportunity to put Blowfish to the test and see if it actually could get rid of a hangover effectively.

As directed by the instructions, to use Blowfish I just dissolve the effervescent tablets in water then knock it back and wait for it to take effect. After waiting for 10 minutes to pass it didn’t feel like much had happened but around the 15 minute mark I was starting to feel an improvement.

I wouldn’t say that this was the miracle cure it was cracked up to be but for mild to moderate hangover symptoms it actually did a pretty good job. I certainly felt a lot more like normal afterwards; my head had cleared, I felt more alert and my stomach had settled.

All in all I’d give Blowfish a score of 3 out of 5. It’s definitely worth keeping some in your cupboards if you find yourself with a mild to moderate hangover but it may not do the trick for anything stronger.

Blowfish is available from Amazon here for $49.99 for 50 tablets.
